Bradley bolts 'BRE

Today's Citizens Voice reports WBRE reporter Amy Bradley has left the station to go back to school. She'll be pursuing a law degree, and with today's media obsession over celebrity court cases, a lawyer who doubles as a journalist can surely find a job at CNN, MSNBC, or Court TV.

A reader also points out the CV's television column, which they never post online anymore, will be printed less often, from every Thursday to every other Wednesday. Anyone know why?

Bradley made her intentions known months ago. Although she didn't want another contract, she did offer to work through August to help - as they have done before, they told her to get lost once her contract was up.

She's had it with TV. It's doubtful she'll be looking to return to the media once she's an attorney.

Did she have it with TV, or have it with WBRE? There's a big difference. I thought she was very good.

Howard, you ask why the CV television column is only being published every other Wednesday?

BECAUSE NEWS ABOUT TELEVISION IN THE WB/SCRANTON MARKET IS NOT RELEVANT!! NO ONE CARES, THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO READ THE COLUMNS ARE THE EGO-LADEN NEWSPEOPLE WHO WANT TO SEE THEIR NAMES IN THE PAPER.

How about a blog that doesn't center around Nexstar or WNEP? Hard-up for material are we?

Well, when it comes to television news around these parts, it's either Nexstar (WBRE/WYOU) or WNEP. Kinda hard to avoid that, eh?

But hey, if you know something I don't, feel free to e-mail me. The address is right on top of the blog for all to see.

Tired of threads about Nexstar and 'NEP?

Hey, I've got it--let's trash the fat cats at WVIA! They had an auction recently and sold their souls to the highest bidder.

Not entirely true. I'll never see my name "up in lights", but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the dishing of the dirt. It's a good part of the reason we check out the Bites.

Okay, let's suppose that's true. If so, then why do you come here? You're the same wannabe who used to trash TV-types before Howard took his break, right? What the hell motivates you? Do you really love to hate people that much? Jesus, get something going in your life.

No, I'm just someone who likes to antagonize ego-laden TV-types who freak out when they don't see their names in the paper (or in your case in blogs) GET A LIFE!!!!
