Hazleton's back in the spotlight

A federal judge just decided that Hazleton's immigration ordinance - the law that brought so much national attention to our area - is unconstitutional. At the time I posted this, WBRE and WYOU already had a breaking news update posted on its website. WNEP didn't have anything.

This is sure to be the top story on all three stations tonight, so I'd like to know your thoughts on tonight's coverage. Respond here, or shoot me an e-mail!

EDIT: Typo fixed. L before E!

Don't let Andy M. see you misspelling Hazleton, or he will get the I-Team after you!

'Cause that's Andy's country right there. God forbid you piss him off, he might start pronouncing his "H"'s

If you're going to respond, please keep your comments limited to news coverage of the ruling. There's lots of other places to debate the merits of the ruling; this isn't one of them.

To keep things from derailing, I did zap two comments that opined on the ruling's merits, as I erroneously approved them.

Fine, Howard, just please apply rules evenly, not arbitrarily. If you're serious, get rid of the post immediately preceding yours. It is likewise irrelevant.

Regardless of the consequences of the ruling, we need to somewhere discuss how many people in the news biz are clueless as to what this case is all about.

Chris Kelly's column in the Sunday Times about the ruling was superb!! You must check it out.
