When words are overused and abused
The Times Leader has labeled today's story about Rep. Don Sherwood's fundraising as an EXCLUSIVE. What a lofty designation for a story based on public documents that are available from the Federal Election Commission.
Remember when "exclusive" meant something?

I guess we know exactly WHERE you're coming from, HB! Pretty transparent stuff.
Oh, do you now? :)
How do you know you have an exclusive anyway, especially when your information is coming from public information. An exclusive was Watergate with one source, Deep Throat...
I think it's funny when both the Voice and the Leader have the same stories and the Leader runs their little red "Exclusive" banner. Happens occasionally. I should do that with my music column in the CV, 'cuz the TL doesn't have it. :)
Howard is todays segment on podcasting an exclusive???
Jeez, maybe I should've slapped EXCLUSIVE in every other sentence!
Did anyone see the Times Leader's exclusive on that downtown bookstore today? What an exclusive...considering Wilkes University's student newspaper reported it first.
